Transport Controller required, Solihull area £13.47 per hour!
Do you have experience in co-ordinating and preparing delivery and collection of freight information, ensuring all documentation is processed and completed on time and accurately whilst providing excellent customer service support? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join on a temporary ongoing basis with an attractive rate of pay of £13.47phr this contract offers working in modern offices, free parking and working with a switched on and friendly team.

- Monday to Friday rotational shifts 0600-1400 / 1400-2200 / 2200-0600

- Based in Birmingham with excellent public transport connections

Reporting to the Planning Manager your duties will include -

- Produce efficient and accurate UK inbound receiving plans (Deck Plans) for all areas within role responsibilities
- Audit and optimisation activities to include KPI analysis and review
- Communicate with internal customers at all levels
- Co-ordination of collection and delivery of goods
- Preparation of Transport and customer documents - ensure compliance with standard operating procedure.
- To adhere to all company health and safety policies and standards of housekeeping
- Investigate routings for the Transport Plan for new / amended customers/destinations
- Liaising with the operation to ensure stock is despatched correctly
- Dealing with customer requests to ensure service levels are surpassed
- Customs requirements and procedures as dictated by the customer
- To understand the implications of operating within a time sensitive environment
- Awareness of O Licence compliance, WTD and drivers hours legislation
- Operational Documentation, compliance with escalation process

The Transport Controller will have experience in managing, coordinating plans and conduct analysis and validation of customers. You'll be responsible for timely delivery and accurate management of network changes.

Excellent communication skills, strong and effective organising, planning and process work methods will be paramount to this role.

Advanced excel skills including pivot tables will be highly regarded.
