7.5 Tonne Driver  – Temp to Perm 

Are you an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for a stable Monday to Friday role with great hours and excellent benefits? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Northampton-based business that supplies metal products to customers across the local area. 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing company with the potential of a permanent position following a successful temporary period. 

Salary & Benefits 

• £16.00 per hour
• Quarterly bonus scheme
• Monday to Friday working pattern
• Typical hours: 6:00am – 3:00pm/3:30pm
• 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

The Role 

• Deliver steel and metal products to local customers using a 7.5 tonne vehicle 
• Complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and on time 
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects 
• Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly for transport 
• Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required 
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers 
• Adhere to all transport, health & safety, and company procedures 

Please note: There is very minimal handballing involved with this role. 

Requirements 

• Valid Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence 
• Valid Driver CPC qualification 
• Digital Tachograph card 
• Up to 6 penalty points accepted 
• No major driving endorsements or disqualifications 
• Previous multi-drop or delivery driving experience preferred 
• Good knowledge of the local area 
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious approach
