Pertemps Sheffield are currently looking to recruit a LGV Class 2 Emergency Response HIAB Driver on a 6-month contract working for Network rail on behalf of a 3PL logistics company.
Emergency response driver covering the Network Rail contract. Based at the Leeds RDC site the driver will respond to any emergency calls from network rail within their driving/working time, working 4 on 4 off shift pattern (Days and nights), 12hr Shifts.
Driving a class 2 vehicle with HIAB, the driver will deliver anything required by Network Rail engineers to various site location.
When awaiting call you will be based on site at Leeds.

Successful candidates will:

-  Comply with issued start times in line with contractual requirements
-  Conduct collections and deliveries in accordance with the plan and/or instructions from the transport office.
-  Conduct collections and deliveries within the timeframes outlined
-  To engage with the font line transport teams on daily brief and de-brief
-  Ensure a thorough working knowledge of the regulations under which they operate and the Highway Code & Road Traffic Act 1988, and Road Safety Act 2006
-  Operate in line with all legal requirements and ensure full compliance with tachograph and working time legislation.
-  Operate in line with company Health and safety policy and procedures, following approved risk assessments and ensuring live assessments of risks in the workplace (dynamic risk assessments).
-  Act as an ambassador of the company with customers and the public, conducting yourself in a professional manner, being polite, courteous, and helpful.
-  Wear the company uniform and the appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) provided
-  Have on their person their Driver Licence, DQC Card and Tachograph card always during working hours.
-  To conduct a full and thorough pre-shift inspection of vehicles in advance of their operation and to comply with defect reporting process, ensuring all defective vehicles, trailers and equipment are reported immediately.
-  Operate with vigilance in regard to security, safeguarding your own, your colleagues and the security of the load.
-  Report any vehicles accidents, incidents of collisions in line with company Policy and the "Bump Card" process.
-  Follow customer specific procedures on their premises and with their goods during delivery and collection.

PLEASE NOTE: The working hours for this fantastic role are 4 days of 06:00 to 18:00, 4 days off then 4 days of 18:00 to 06:00. During the day shifts you will be with other colleagues working on site but at Night you will be lone working.

In return for working in this position, you will receive a great payrate of £15.30 per hour!

This role is based on a 6-month Contract!!
