Job Title: Class 2 Shunter (4 on / 4 off – Days)
Location: DN3
Pay Rate: £15.80 per hour
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 05:00 – 17:00

The Role We are currently recruiting for a reliable and experienced Class 2 Shunter to join the team at DHL (DN3 site) on a 4 on / 4 off day shift pattern.

This role involves operating Class 2 units to move demountable boxes into an automated system on site. The position requires a high level of carefulness, accuracy, and attention to detail, as correct placement and precise vehicle movements are critical to the smooth operation of the automated process.

Key Responsibilities

• Shunting Class 2 vehicles safely around site
• Moving demountable boxes into designated loading points
• Positioning units accurately within an automated system
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks
• Following strict health & safety procedures
• Communicating effectively with yard and warehouse teams

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
• Previous shunting or yard experience preferred
• Strong awareness of health & safety
• High attention to detail and ability to work with precision
• Reliable and punctual
