Job Description

HGV Class 1 Driver – ADR

Location: Motherwell, North Lanarkshire
Pay: £19.30/hr (days) to £24.39/hr (nights)
Type: Full-time, temporary, ongoing
Recruiter: Pertemps on behalf of BOC
Role: Delivering gas products, operating tankers and trailers, minor vehicle repairs, customer interaction, and occasional overnight working.

Role Responsibilities

Bulk Delivery: Transporting and delivering high-risk liquefied cryogenic gases to industrial and medical clients.
Safety Compliance: Operating strict health and safety protocols regarding the discharge of hazardous gas materials and dealing with pressure-regulated tankers.
Vehicle Care: Conducting daily vehicle walk-around checks, tracking digital tachograph records, and keeping exact log details.

Key Requirements

HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence held for at least 3 years
Driver CPC (DQC)
ADR Class 2 (Tanks)
Tanker driving experience
No more than 3 penalty points on licence
Good knowledge of tachograph legislation and strong safety awareness.
Assessments: Candidates must complete a site driving assessment and an interview with the client prior to final placement. Full paid site-specific training is provided upon passing.
