We are seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Finance team on a temporary basis. You will be part of a small, friendly team and will be required to support the day-to-day running of the purchase ledger, ensuring the supplier accounts are accurate and kept up to date.
You will have experience of working within a purchase ledger function, ideally in an SME environment. With a keen eye for detail, good numeracy skills and the ability to hit the ground running, you will have competent IT skills and knowledge of Sage Accounts.
Initially the role will be part time, across a 4 month period although this may increase during the course of the assignment as the business is entering its traditionally busy period. Ideally, you will therefore have the scope to increase these hours if required.
Role, duties and responsibilities
Processing supplier invoices.
Checking and reconciliation of supplier statements.
Matching invoices to delivery notes and purchase orders.
Efficient resolution of invoice queries, both internally and with suppliers.
Filing of invoices and statements.
Carry out other ad-hoc duties necessary for the smooth running of the purchase ledger.
Bookkeeping experience, ideally within a purchase ledger function.
Ability to input invoices efficiently and accurately.
Experience of Sage Accounts.
Competent IT skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Transport is required due to location
