HGV Class 2 Driver

HGV Class 2 Drivers required for full time, ongoing work from a depot based in Exeter EX5.
- £15.51 per hour PAYE
- Start time between 10:00-12:00
- 8 hours pay guarantee per shift, shift length can be up to 15 hours
- 4 on, 2 off rota
- Full training provided – buddied up with another driver for the first week
About the role
- Collections and deliveries of fresh seafood and shellfish
- Waiting in the harbour for fishing boats to arrive
- Using pallet trucks to move pallets from the boat to the lorry
- Heavy (25kg-40kg) loading / unloading required
- Completing delivery / collection paperwork.
- Keep records of mileage, fuel use, and other costs incurred
The right candidate
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC and digi tacho
- New pass drivers welcome, must be aged over 21 for insurance reasons
- Comfortable with handballing and using manual handling equipment like pallet trucks
- Great communication skills as you will be speaking directly to the fishing crews on a daily basis
