HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Drivers

Location: Yeovil
Pay: £17.22 per hour
Hours: Average 42 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 4 on, 2 off, including weekends
Start Times: AM 04:00–07:00 | PM 12:00–16:00
Position: Temp to Perm – Genuine Long-Term Opportunity

The Role

Due to continued growth and additional customers, we are looking for HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Drivers to join our client in Yeovil on a temp-to-perm basis.

This is a genuine long-term opportunity, offering ongoing work with the opportunity to secure a permanent position with the company following a successful temporary period.

You will be responsible for delivering and collecting from customers across the South West, providing a professional, friendly and reliable service at every customer interaction.

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced HGV drivers, as well as newly qualified Class 2 drivers looking to build their commercial driving experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect from customers across the service area
  
  
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional representative of the company
  
  
• Build positive relationships with customers through a friendly and reliable approach
  
  
• Drive safely and efficiently in line with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
  
  
• Follow all health & safety procedures, vehicle regulations and the Highway Code
  
  
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure customer requirements are met
  
  
• Complete all relevant delivery and collection documentation
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Valid Class 2 (CAT C) driving licence
  
  
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  
  
• Valid Driver CPC
  
  
• Good communication and customer service skills
  
  
• A professional, reliable and customer-focused approach
  
  
• Eligibility to work in the UK
  
  

Newly qualified Class 2 drivers are welcome to apply. Previous van driving experience and strong customer service skills are essential for newly qualified applicants, as the role involves regular customer interaction and driving to multiple locations.

Working Hours & Benefits

• Average 42 hours per week on a rotating 4 on, 2 off shift pattern
