We currently have a great opportunity for an LGV 1 ADR Night Shunter Driver to join a friendly busy team, working on a unique contract based in a village just outside of Bicester. The shift pattern is predominantly Sunday to Thursday, working 2000-0600. The successful driver must pass stringent security checks and demonstrate a high level of driving competence, as well as being flexible, hardworking and reliable.
Candidates must live within a 30 minute commute of Bicester.
The successful Shunter Driver will report to the Transport team and your duties will include:
" Reporting to the Shift Manager
" Being responsible for the safe movement of trailer units
" Manoeuvring both laden and unladen trailers around the site, onto storage or loading bays
" Using a Tug unit
" Coupling and uncoupling of trailers
" Adhering to strict Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures
The following skills and experience are essential:
" Hold a valid cat CE UK licence
" Hold a valid DQC
" Hold a valid tachograph card
" Hold a full and valid ADR licence
" A minimum of 2 years' commercial experience, driving a cat CE vehicle in the UK, for insurance purposes
" A maximum of 6 points for minor offences, No DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes
" Provide checkable work history and references for the last 3 years without any gaps
" Provide UK address history for the last 6 years
" Due to the nature of the work successful candidates must pass a high level of security vetting
" PAYE: £13.44p.h to £15.00p.h
" Guaranteed a minimum of 7.5 hours per shift.
" 28 days paid Annual Leave, pro-rata for PAYE workers.
