LGV C+E Drivers

As an LGV C+E (Class 1) Driver you will be responsible for travelling with a drivers mate and delivering, installing and recovering equipment throughout the UK. For this reason, nights out will be required on a regular basis, of which will primarily be in the cab of the vehicle accompanied by the drivers mate.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday based on a 45 hour week, 06:00am starts. Saturday work may be required as and when the business stipulates, therefore you must be available on request.
Rate of pay: £12.00 per hour and overtime available at an enhanced rate.
Overnight meal allowances also paid for nights away.
Delivering, installing and recovering equipment throughout the UK
Ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle with help from the drivers mate.
Carrying out repairs to damaged equipment.
Previous Lorry Mounted Crane/HIAB grab experience with both stick and remote would be beneficial however not essential as training will be provided - this will be a daily duty to load and unload equipment from the vehicle.
As the ideal Driver you will:
Have a good knowledge of Drivers Hours Legislation and Working Time Regulations. You must also have a full valid LGV/HGV Category C+E entitlement with no more than 6 penalty points. (No DR/IN/DD endorsement) You must also have a valid Digital Tachograph card and Drivers CPC card.
Have a high level of personal hygiene and cleanliness
Be reliable and trustworthy
Be able to work under instruction as well as independently, using your own initiative.
Be able to understand and adhere to strict health and safety practices which are of paramount importance.
Be flexible towards working hours as nights out will be required and likely to be on a regular basis.
You must also have good communication skills in order to liaise with customers and the office.
Interviews and driving assessments will be carried out prior to commencement of your assignment of which will include a Drug & Alcohol test. This test must result in a clear reading for both to be considered for this position.
This role as an LGV C+E (Class 1) Driver is initially on an ongoing, full-time hours basis. However, for the right candidates with the right attitude and skill sets there will be the opportunity to become a permanent full-time employee of our client.
