JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver with experience of working in a multi drop environment.
Working as a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver you will be a professional delivery driver who will be part of a team working together and aiming high to deliver outstanding customer service every day.
DUTIES
Your role as a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver will include:
- Completion of daily pre-use vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks
- Accurate and timely defect reporting
- Obtain accurate and timely 'proof of delivery' Using a PDA or documentation in line with the required standard
- Legislative compliance, e.g. Tachograph and driving infringements, and including roadside authority checks, accident, near miss and hazard reporting
- Adherence to vehicle cleaning programme
- Use of pump truck/tail lift, forklifting when required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant, clean driving Licence
- Held licence for at least 2 years
- Previous driving experience as a Class 1 Driver
- Experience of using a manual, split gearbox
- A minimum of 35 hours of Driver CPC training is essential
- Customer focused, with flexible approach
- Willing to go the extra mile for our customers
