Pertemps are currently recruiting for drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.
Location: West of Edinburgh
Hours of Work: 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06.00-17.02 with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £10.78 rising to £12.16
Temporary ongoing work
Duties to Include:
- Driving the relevant vehicles
- Working as part of a team
- Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
- Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
- General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding)
Essential requirements:
- Valid Driving Licence
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence
Successful candidates will:
- Be flexible
- Be reliable
- Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
- Be health and safety conscious
- Have good customer service skills
- Have previous driving experience
- Work outdoors in all weather
