HGV C2 Driver - Fleet

Pertemps are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy fleet services department.
Location - Edinburgh West
Rate of pay - £14.26 per hour
Hours of Work - Monday - Friday 36hrs per week
Holidays - Up to 33 days per year
Duration - 6 months with possible permanent opportunities
The successful candidate will be joining a team of experienced fleet services staff and be expected to work with various vehicles that are used by the client. Applicant will also be required to support the smooth running of the department through administrative tasks
Duties to include:
Collection and delivery of vehicles up to 26tons
- Checking vehicles for any damage and organising repairs if necessary
- Dealing with external clients in regards to warranties and hire vehicles
- Travelling to various client locations within Edinburgh
- Vehicle preparation
- Maintenance of the depot facilities
- Providing a reliable business support service through a variety of formats including telephone, face to face, email, and online
- Maintaining of records
- Data input
- Using appropriate systems to process service requests or updates for wider services
Essential requirements:
- Valid Class 2 Driving Licence
- Valid Driver Qualification Card (CPC card)
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum of 6 points on your licence
- Strong administrative experience
Successful applicants must:
- Have excellent time keeping skills
- Be honest, trustworthy and punctual
- Have good problem solving skills
- Have strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Have the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Have good communication and teamwork skills.
- Previous work in a similar environment desirable
