depot.

As a Mobile Welfare Unit Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the servicing, repair, and maintenance of welfare units — including electrical and mechanical systems — both at the depot and on customer sites across the region. Occasional support across other depots

Key Responsibilities
- Service and repair generators and electrical systems
- Maintain chassis, running gear, and towing equipment
- Conduct testing on electrical appliances and systems
- Respond to planned and emergency maintenance calls
/> - Complete all job documentation and system reports accurately
- Comply with all health & safety and driving regulations
- Support depot operations including cleaning, delivery, and collection of units as needed
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
/>
- Experience in a similar role (e.g. welfare unit, plant, generator, or field service engineering)
- Good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Full UK driving licence (including B+E category preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong communication and customer service
skills
Desirable:
- Towing experience
- Electrical testing and inspection familiarity
- Experience using digital job management systems
