We have an exciting new opportunity for a Logistics co-ordinator to join a global logistics and supply chain provider on a temporary ongoing basis with an attractive rate of pay of £15.15phr.
Rotational Shifts - 0600-1400/ 1400-2200/ 2200-0600
General Duties of the Logistics co-ordinator:
- Creating and assigning transport units with relevant ID numbers and documentation
- Chasing shipping / delivery notes and assigning to trailers
- Ensuring deliveries and met accurately and in a timely manor
- Accurate data entry using SAP to ensure a smoothly run operation
- Work with operational teams to resolve any collection / planning issues
- Focusing on the needs of customers
- Identifying issues and working closely with the planning team to solve them
- Tracking incoming deliveries
- Managing time schedules and dealing with any delays
- Communicating delays through SAP
- Updating system software with reasons for early / late arrivals
- Managing flow of packaging and equipment to ensure operation can run smoothly
- Updating stock reports & data entry
- Answering queries / problem solving working closely with the planning team
- Tracking vehicles & equipment and communicating delays via SAP
Requirements for the Logistics co-ordinator role:
- Experience with SAP (or similar warehouse software tool experience)
- MS Office Literate - Essential
- Proven experience within Logistics industry / supply chain environment
- Proven track record of strategic thinking / prioritising workload
- Strong and effective organisational skills
- Excellent communication & IT skills
- High standards of commercial awareness
- Must be able to commit to rotating shifts
- Track record of developing and maintaining relationships
- Being a team player and generating enthusiasm
- To adhere to the company values & service level agreements
- Awareness of the implications of operating within a time sensitive environment
