Warehouse/Transport Manager

Job Title: Warehouse/Driver/Transport Manager

Location: Heston – Warehouse Days

Purpose of the role:

Oversee the warehouse and transport operation at London Warehouse

Main duties and responsibilities:
Managing a team of around 5 people

Requirements: -

- Previous experience in the freight forwarding industry is a MUST
- Forklift License.
- Driving License (preferably HGV)
- Providing relevant information to enable effective decision making
- Able to react quickly whilst maintaining focus and attention to detail
- Willing to support wider team as needed
- Ability to identify, develop, and implement improved ways of working
- Strong planning, organisation, and prioritising skills
- Excellent management skills and the ability to interact effectively with Managers
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, & Word and WMS .
- Cargowise experience would be an advantage
- ETSF experience would be an advantage
- Filing Vehicle check Sheets – Arranging repairs/pmi and mot’s
- Loading/Unloading Vehicles where required
- FLT work when required
- Updating customers spreadsheet communicating issues
- Updating the trunker file with pallet quantities
- Collections/Deliveries when required
- Staff holiday/ illness cover
- Warehouse housekeeping
- IBT Scanning
- Day Delivery paperwork and packages to be sorted and left in run order for the day delivery person
- Weekly Building Security Check -report defects to Operations Manager
- Weekly Site inspection – report defects to Branch Manager
- Do bookings for all customers
- Download tachos when required
- Weekly Bond Checks
- Ensuring ETFS procedures are followed. ETFS Audits
- Arranging transport for domestic customers
- Raising files for domestic customers

 Person specification:

- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and in writing)
- A good level of numeracy
- An understanding of current health and safety regulations
- Class ll Licence Holder. FLT Licence Holder
- IT skills (Microsoft Office and Warehousing Systems)
- Ability to perform under pressure
- Able to use initiative and organise own workload
- Able to motivate a team
- Creative approach to problem solving and to thinking ’outside the box’
- A flexible approach to work and the ability to work with changing demands (including shift patterns)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £37,500.00

- Monday to Friday 0900 to 1800 hours
- Overtime if required
