GIST Barnsley Night Warehouse Pickers Required (Immediate starts)

The training for this project starts this week. All workers MUST attend one day to finish the assignment.
Training/Induction Date: (for the after slots) Tuesday 28th November & Wednesday 29th November 16:00-12:00 & so on each week:
Pay Rates
- Basic Rate: £10.42ph starting Between 16:00ph & 17:00pm rising to £11.85ph from 18:00pm.
- Enhanced rates from the 14th of December on weekdays £13.85ph & £1.00ph performance rate if you hit your pick target
- Weekend Enhanced rates from the 16th of December £14.88ph & £1.00ph performance rate if you hit your pick target
- Enhanced rates from the 18th of December on weekdays to Wednesday 20th December £14.85ph & £2.00ph performance rate if you hit your pick target.
- Enhanced rates for 21st & 22nd December £16.35ph & £2.50ph performance rate if you hit your pick target.
- Enhanced rate for Saturday 23rd December £17.38ph & £2.50ph performance rate if you hit your pick target.
- Enhanced rates Tuesday 26th December & Monday 01st January 2024 £17.90ph & £2.50ph performance rate if you hit your pick target.
Shift times are as follows:
Afters Slots:
- 4:00pm - 12:00 (midnight)
- 5:00pm - 1:00am/2:00am
Shift Pattern/Working Weekdays:
- Priority Shift: Thursday - Sunday
- Generalised Shift Rota: Monday - Sunday (With x2 days off designated for you)
As a Warehouse Operative you will be:
- Picking food products using a Voice pick headset for a well-known High Street Retailer
- Working in a chilled and ambient environment
- Breaking down and allocating goods
- Achieving targets and job standards set out by the shift manager
- Other duties which may include heavy lifting
The ideal Warehouse Operative will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided
- Good numeracy and literacy skills with good attention to detail
- Must have a positive attitude and be extremely reliable
- Ability to work under pressure, and to deadlines
- Punctual with excellent timekeeping and attendance
Additional Information regarding project:
- Must be prepared to work at least one weekend day
- Free car parking
- Great bus routes, with a variety of local pickups and drop offs
- Subsidised staff canteen
- This position is based at Carlton Industrial Estate S71 3LJ
