Yard Operative
Permanent Position
Based in Leith
£30,000 per year
40 hours per week (8 hours per day with a 1-hour break)
30 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
We are seeking a motivated Yard Operative to join a busy operations team in Leith. This is a permanent role with excellent opportunities for growth and development.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring yard health & safety standards are met.
- Loading and unloading shipping containers and trucks.
- Assisting with the safe delivery of equipment across the UK and internationally.
- Carrying out inspections and maintenance of a rental fleet.
- Supporting quarterly stock takes with the logistics team.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous yard experience.
- A valid driver’s license (required).
- Forklift license (required).
- Good computer skills, including Outlook and Excel.
- Health & safety awareness.
- A proactive, open-minded approach with a willingness to grow within the role.
