We are currently recruiting Postal Delivery Workers for an immediate start, to work on a temporary assignment supporting Royal Mail assigned to their Bicester Delivery Office.
You will be responsible for delivering both mail and parcels to residential and commercial properties, quickly and efficiently, either on foot and/or driving a Royal Mail vehicle on a dedicated route, whilst maintaining high integrity standards and demonstrating friendly customer service. Other duties may also include sorting of mail/parcels within the delivery office, it is therefore essential that you are willing to be flexible with your duties and physically fit as this can involve walking up to 10 miles per shift.
The role is working 5 shifts per week, Monday to Saturday with a rotational day off during this period.
You will need to pass a security vetting process and have the following skills and experience:
" Hold a valid UK Driving Licence - with no more than 6 points for minor offences, No DR or IN endorsements, for insurance purposes (must be registered to candidates current address)
" Have your own transport (to travel to other DO's but not for working purposes)
" Demonstrate excellent customers service and communication skills
" Upbeat and self-motivated
" Love of the outdoors, whatever the weather
" Good levels of fitness to meet demands of the role
" Excellent organisation skills
" Resilience and flexibility
" Have the ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst adhering to company procedures and regulations
" Have good knowledge of the Oxfordshire area
" Previous delivery experience would be an advantage
" Previous Van Driving experience would be an advantage
You will be provided with PPE. Induction, training and working will all be in a socially distanced safe environment.
