Shifts: 10–12 hours, max 13 drops (average 7 for agency drivers)
We’re currently recruiting Class 1 Drivers on behalf of a well-established poultry distributor with a strong presence in the Asian food market. With a fleet of automatic vehicles and consistent routes, this is a fantastic opportunity for reliable drivers seeking stable, ongoing work.
What’s on offer:
✔ £180 per day pay
✔ No handballing – all deliveries are palletised
✔ Average of 7 drops per day (longer runs, fewer stops)
✔ Vehicles pre-loaded – just check the load is secure
✔ One-week shadowing for smooth onboarding
✔ Consistent routes for ease and familiarity
✔ Sat navs available in all trucks (new fleet arriving this month)
✔ Uniform provided (optional to wear)
✔ Pallet return bonus – £1.50 per returned pallet
✔ Daily WhatsApp route notes sent each morning
About the Role:
You’ll be delivering poultry products to a mix of independent retailers and national supermarket chains (including ASDA), with deliveries taking place early morning. No manual handling is required – just safe and timely deliveries.
About the Business:
- All automatic vehicles (currently 8, expanding to 10)
- Supplies over 5,000 customers and 40 ASDA stores
- Strong customer base in the Asian food sector
- Works with both agency and Vortex Recruitment
- Committed to supporting drivers – appeals parking tickets on your behalf
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
- Minimum 1 year of Class 1 experience
- Maximum 6 points – no DRs or INs
- A positive attitude and reliability essential
