HGV Class 1 Driver – Days
Location: London Gateway
Rate: £18.00 per hour + + Competitive overtime rates
Shift: 7:00am start, approx. 10-hour shifts
Induction: 2-day paid induction

We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for day shifts at a busy container transport operation based in London Gateway. This is a great opportunity for drivers seeking regular work with competitive pay.
What’s on offer:
- £18.00 per hour, paid weekly
- 7:00am starts, 10-hour shifts
- Monday to Friday schedule
- Container transport
- 2-day paid induction provided
Duties include:
- Transporting shipping containers
- Coupling and decoupling trailers safely and correctly
- Carrying out pre-use vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations
- Accurate completion of paperwork and use of on-board systems
- Communicating effectively with the transport office
- Adhering to all driver hours and WTD regulations
Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Up-to-date CPC and Tacho card
- Experience in container work preferred
- ADR licence advantageous but not essential
- Good knowledge of driver regulations
